- Can any image be a Wallbanger?
Unfortunately, not every image will make a great Wallbanger.
If you are uploading an image, please review this section for photo tips. The higher the resolution on the image you submit, the better your Wallbanger will look.
If you choose to send us an printed photograph for scanning, make sure that we can see the entire body, and that the image was not taken from far away. If the subject you would like to highlight is small on the photograph, we may not be able to stretch the image into a Wallbanger.
If you submit a photograph that is questionable in size, your image will be accepted, but our customer service staff may contact you to let you know that your image may lack enough data to stretch it into a Wallbanger. At that time you will be given the opportunity to submit an alternative image. If you do not want to submit an alternative image, we will credit your account.
Professional photographers should take photos at the highest setting possible. We also accept RAW files.
*Wallbangers reserves the right to not print a submitted photograph on the basis of content.
- What should I keep in mind when shooting or selecting my photo?
- Take a few minutes to make sure your photos are clear, sharp and in focus.
- Remember that the better the image you provide us, the better your Wallbanger will look. If the image is blurry or out of focus, that is how it will print!
- Photos should be taken in a well-lit atmosphere, such as outside on a sunny day. Most cameras take better images in natural sunlight and produce much richer and colorful prints. Indoor images also work well, but please make sure there is a good amount of light.
- Try to avoid relying on your camera's zoom function when you take your photo. The closer you can get to your subject without having to zoom in, the better.
- Unless it's a photo that works best horizontally (like a team photo or a car photo), try to take your photos vertically and avoid cutting out hands and feet.
- The higher resolution the better!
- How should I configure my camera to get the best picture for my Wallbanger?
- We recommend using a camera that is at least 4MP (megapixels) or greater. The more megapixel’s your camera has, the better the image.
- Set your camera for the highest resolution. This is usually done under the "settings" of the menu section of your camera. If in doubt, you can always consult your manual. Be sure to use the highest possilbe setting, as it gives us more data to stretch your image into a Wallbanger.
- Try to avoid taking your photo using the “zoom” function. The closer you get to the subject without using zoom, the better. When you use the zoom feature, the image loses data.
- We request a file size of 2048x1536 pixels. If you have some experience with cameras, you should know how to verify this. If not, don’t worry about it. Your file size should be just fine if you've followed steps 1-3.
- Do not change the resolution of your photo. Please send us the original file.
- If possible, take your photo vertically and try not to cut off any part of the subject, like feet or arms.
- What file formats do you accept?
Our designers can work with any of the following file formats:
- .jpg
- .tiff
- Any RAW format supported by Adobe Photoshop CS3
- What if the image I would like to use is on film?
We understand that many people may have already captured that magical moment on film. For those people, we have two suggestions:

Cincinnati, OH 45236We will scan your picture and turn it into a Wallbanger. When you send in your photograph, please include a return envelope with postage. We will not return photos that do not come with return postage, nor can we guarantee that your photograph will not be damaged.
If you don't like the idea of mailing us a cherished photograph, you may choose to go to a company such as Kinko's and have them scan your photograph for you. They will put it on a disk you can send us.
*In either case, include your order number and address on the item that you mail to us. Sending a copy of your invoice works well.
- What if my digital camera is less than 4 MP or I don't have one?
We understand that not everyone has the right digital camera, or is completely comfortable using it. That’s OK. There are other ways to get us your image.
- Send us an actual picture. A 5x7 photograph is the smallest we would want to use, but what is really important is that the subject of the picture is large. Therefore, sometimes even a 4x6 can work. From that, we’ll scan your photo using our high resolution scanner and return your photo in the self-addressed, stamped envelope that we ask you to provide.
- Ask a friend. You may not have the appropriate camera but a friend just might. At most sporting events, you can usually find the expert amateur photographer that loves taking photographs. Why not ask them to take one for you and have it emailed to you? You can then forward to Wallbangers.
- Ask a professional. Many people use a professional photographer to take their photo for them. Again, then you would just forward to us.
